ONLINE MANAGEMENT

Due to the nature of what we do, it normally doesn't take too long before we're fully integrated into a client's team. The ideal position for us is fulfilling the role of online or digital manager. You're effectively gaining an in-house team member that sits at the centre of all things web-based.

This is however, not for everyone. Since day one, we've set out to offer as many online solutions as we're able to. So, what follows are a series of services that we've now been doing for a very long time.

Have a read, pic n' mix it up and if you'd like to talk to us about getting started, drop us a note here.

SOCIAL MEDIA

This is our thing and for whatever reason we absolutely love it. Maybe it's because each platform is always changing; they certainly keep you on your toes...

But really, deep down, it's all about the conversation isn't it? Whilst a new twitter layout, for example, is to us indeed exciting, the realtime engagement is what makes it all so special.

We certainly never ghost write for clients, but that aside, we would take care of every other aspect of your social media community management; content suggestions, design, built in app developments and/or just making sure every single tiny little aspect is taken care of. Attention to detail is a huge thing to us. Huge. As is the data, which we'll report back to you on a monthly basis.

WORD OF MOUTH

This is the closest we come to traditional media relations. Based on your style, we research a selection of blogs that we feel would be best placed to tell your story. For us, the days of hitting up +200 contacts with a copy/paste email are long gone. It's about quality not quantity. We look to build partnerships with bloggers, run features, different editorial content and focus on an international scale depending of course on the brand and product. We like this one though, it's genuinely fun, and the relationships we've built up with some guys are really unique for us.

EVENTS

This is a funny one. One of our first clients back in '09 was the Swedish House Mafia. What followed was a two year crash-course in selling out shows from the ATM crew. We definitely learnt a few things from our pals at William Morris too. What is the event world like? Crazy. That's the only word we can think of. Months of preparations, genius teaser marketing plans from some of the best in the world, huge shows selling out in literally minutes... the imagery and video content that follows... yeh, it's all a bit mental and highly energised.

We treat each event no matter how big or small as a potential opportunity for an artist to engage with new fans. If a promoter is up for playing ball, cross-marketing is easy and can be very rewarding. What we *try* to do, is bring a little calm. The rest is simply down to budget.

CONSULTING

Sometimes you might simply need someone to point you in the right direction. Or just be there as and when to give you solid advice, talk through ideas and walk through concerns. Often it's a case of understanding the planning of campaigns - how it's going to work or the 'mechanics', as some will call it. Once all the elements are talked through and you're happy to hit the button, that's when we say adios, and let you crack on.

PODCASTING

Who doesn't love a good podcast hey? To date we've built and uploaded more than thirty artist and label podcasts into iTunes... and in various formats too; weekly radio shows (some syndicated worldwide), mixes, live sets and videos. It's all very doable, and pretty inexpensive in the grand scheme of things. Recent uploads include the NGE podcast, Thomas Gold's 'Fanfare' and Moguai's 'Punx Up the Volume'.

The craic is simple: Get into a semi-regular routine, build subscribers just as you would on YouTube etc, and then treat this audience to the very latest content you have. Oh, and as we all want artists to get paid for their work, we recommend building buy links and artwork into your episodes. We feel it's a good shout and shows the love.

CREATIVE STUFF

We're in a time and place where visual media is of ridiculous importance. Attention spans are decreasing and campaigns are only getting cleverer. We urge our clients to really invest in this side of their profile. Be it branding and logos, release artwork, mailer designs or campaign microsites;  get this sorted, or you'll just look mediocre. And for the musicans out there, with such an over-saturated market, getting these elements right couldn't be more important.

DEVELOPMENT

Since branching out into web-development in February 2012, we've assisted in the design and development build of fifteen websites including;  deadmau5.com, chris-lake.com and axtone.com. The move to responsive for mobile/tablet has been an exciting challenge.

This has become a new passion for us;  bridging the gap between our developers and our clients has been extremely intertesting, and the fans seem to love them. Just be sure to think about any needs at the very beginning of your campaign - we don't do last minute jobs in this department.

WORDS

Usually campaigns need words. Short and snappy, long and descriptive or something in the middle. We'll work with you to generate copy that completely fits your brand.

SOCIAL MEDIA ADS

We have dedicated team members that keep up to date with all the latest tweaks and whatnot. They'll sit down with you, talk through the options, and either advise how you should proceed or take care of the whole process, monitor the results and make the necessary adjustments throughout the project.

Should you need to delve further into social media advertising, we will of course help you with that process, and if possible, the implementation too.

E-MARKETING

We met a wise man a few years ago who reignited our interest in using e-marketing as a tool. These days, it's part of everyday life again. Smart phones are obviously the norm and with them comes email in your pocket.

We've also found that with platforms like Facebook continuously changing the goal posts with regards to its marketing T&Cs, email is a secure and stable entry point for many competitions. The trick for the average user is to keep on top of that 'unsubscribe' button... the spammers are still out there and hungry as ever!

If you do follow this route, just be sure to treat it like you do your social media. Sending one mailer a year with an iTunes buy link is definitely not a good look.

UNDERSTANDING YOUTUBE

Yep, we've had the training from Google HQ and have various YouTube managers lined up across the globe to help if necessary.

CRISIS COMMS

We wouldn't wish a need for this service on anyone, but from time to time, things can go wrong. The digital world can be a scary place. How you deal with forums, bloggers and online journalists is key to getting the right message heard. We have a strong background in public relations and issues management and so have the knowledge and experience to help you if things go a little Pete Tong.

UNDERSTANDING ETHICS

It's a weird and wonderful world out there, and the debate of what's right and wrong in online marketing is often a difficult one. We find on many occasions some folk are so desperate to get ahead of the game, they might make some daft decisions along the way; buying fans, likes and views, or just rolling out some real spammy messaging... This is usually down to poor advice rather than intentionally setting out to shoot themselves in the foot. Nobody wants to look like a muppet. As mentioned before, we adhere to womma, and all it's standards and we don't budge on this. Consequently, our campaigns are not quick fix solutions. When we work with clients, it's usually for the long run.
